How To Use Facebook Embedded Posts

Facebook Content Gets Shareable

Finally, the content you post on Facebook is set to become a whole lot more shareable thanks to the introduction of a snazzy new, easy to use feature called Facebook Embedded Posts.

But only on Blogger!!!!

Yep, you read that correctly. For some reason there's a glitch that stops the code from working on a Wordpress site.

I'm sure that a fix will found in the next few days, but in the meantime. Follow this step by step guide on How To Use Facebook Embedded Posts on your blog or website.

  • Go to the Facebook Post that you'd like to embed.
  • Hover over the top right corner of the post and a grey arrow will appear. Click on the arrow and scroll down to EMBED POST.

How to use Facebook Embedded Posts Step 1

  • Copy the highlighted Embed Code.

Copy the highlighted Embed Code Step 2

  • Hop over to your blog and paste the code where you would like the Facebook Embedded Post to appear.

The Gallery : My Pet

It's often said in my house that I love my cat more than I love my kids. It's not true. I love them equally but the fact that she doesn't answer me back, might have her sitting at the top of my favourites list more often than not.

Cheryl is a Cornish Rex. Her breed is a genetic mutation that originated in Cornwall in 1950 with the birth of one strangely curly kitten called Kallibunker.
Cheryl is an amazing cat. Highly intelligent with the build of a greyhound. She is fast, slinky and amazingly beautiful.

I love her!

Dr Martens Factory Tour

Wollaston, Northamptonshire

One of the very best things about living in the middle of the beautiful English countryside has to be our close proximity to the Dr Martens factory shop. But there's more delights to be had than the bargains in the Doc Shop, because if you're organised and book in advance you can get a free tour of the factory too.

Dr Martens are one of England's most iconic fashion brands. Their history documented through music, politics, youth culture, cinema and fashion. From Punk and Thatcher's children to Madonna and supermodel collaborations.

Their journey to iconic superbrand started right here in the sleepy Northamptonshire village of Wollaston on April 1st 1960, when the very first pair of Dr Martens 1460 Boots rolled out of the factory.

Dr Martens Made in England

By the mid '60s, Dr Martens became a footwear statement for the disenchanted. A two finger gesture to the rules we were meant to follow. Taken as their own by such a diverse cross section of youth sub cultures. Punks, skins, goths, rockers, indies and britpopers all united by the boots on their feet.

The down time in this otherwise glorious tale came in 2003, when UK production ceased. Factories were closed, jobs were lost and manufacture moved from the Midlands to the Far East, leaving only a handful of employees back in blighty.

Thankfully you can't keep a good brand down and production is once again pulsing through the veins of Dr Martens Wollaston factory. That's what we went to see. A pair of classic 1460 boots being created from skin to store. Enjoy!

Geeks Free Fonts Part One

My Favourite Free Fonts Part One

I love typography.
It was my love of fonts that led me to study Graphic Design way back when it was all done by hand. We had an hour of computer time a week back then. Maybe they thought that the digital revolution wasn't going to catch on - who knows?!

Anyway, this is the first part of many. There are links to all of the fonts at the bottom of the post so that you can download and enjoy.

Wet Dog

Wet dog bath time. Purdy isn't really that impressed but as she had been rolling in something quite smelly, she didn't have a choice. White dogs and rural living really don't mix!

How can this pooch not be a winner?
