Chanel Lego Clutch : Geek IS Chic
It's been years since I developed an absolute 'must have' fixation with a bag but last week it happened. It hit me like an absolute bolt out of the blue. I'm besotted, I'm in love and I can't stop thinking about how THAT BAG would honestly and truly make my life complete.
Of course I felt that way last time, the time before that and the time before that. But this really is out of my control.
The Chanel Lego Clutch Bag from the SS13 collection is officially the bag of my dreams.

The Chanel Lego Clutch Bag from the SS13 collection is officially the bag of my dreams.
I know that it's impractical and in no way able to carry even half of what I need in order to leave the house without going into meltdown but I don't care. I can be organised, I can charge my iPhone before I leave the house, I can stash my Mifi in a pocket and I can preserve my battery by making every Tweet count. I can. I really can because THIS bag is the ULTIMATE Geek Chic.

Do bloggers need to go Geek to be Chic?
There's been an interesting topic of conversation buzzing around social circles of late, then ast weekend @ChloeDigital asked Twitter the hot question;
"Do bloggers need to go geek to be chic?"
With the help of a group of willing volunteers, she conducted the #GetMyGeekOn experiment to find out just how tech savvy bloggers really are.
If you've been wondering what the Get My Geek On icon at the top right of my page is all about, tune in to the @ByMyWardrobe #stylenetworkchat on Thursday 13th December at 3pm for the #getmygeekon special.
Thanks Chloe for the Cybher™ mention in your Huffington Post article today.

Emerald Colour of the Year 2013
Expect the high street stores to become a sea of green over the next couple of months as Pantone announce that Emerald Green is the new Tangerine Tango and colour of the year 2013.
I love bold colours, I just rarely feel in the mood for such bright, bold shopping. My wardrobe is testament to this with rails of black, black and more black. Still that at least gives me a good base to accessorise from right?
Enjoy the inspiration but will you be going green?

Christmas Gift Guide : Geek is Chic
What can I say? It's eclectic but it's packed with Christmas Gift Ideas that would otherwise never have crossed your mind!
1. You can't beat a retro style camera and this handmade silver necklace is so cute. A must for Instagram lovers. $83.99 from Uncovet.com
2. Last year my lovely family bought me the LEGO VW T1 Camper Van and I spent two glorious days locked in my office building away like I was 10 again. If you happen to read this Santa, I would love to get my hands of the 4295 piece LEGO Tower Bridge £209 from Lego.com
3. I love the idea of the Polaroid Z340 Instant Digital Camera but then I'm a Polaroid fan full stop. The 14 megapixel digital, twist on the much loved retro models delivers an ink free 3 x 4 print in less than a minute. I wouldn't say no. £199 from Amazon.co.uk
4. If you're looking for something a bit different you really can't go wrong with a foldable ARTcHAIR. Ultra light and water repellent it makes a perfect festival or camping companion and low maintenance house pet. Despite it's petite looks it can take up to 200kg in weight. £14 from Fab.com
5. I LOVE this set of postcards featuring 100 awesome, classic Ladybird Covers. I picked this one up for £9.99 in my local TK Maxx store and following a fab suggestion from a friend today I'll be seeking out frames, like these ones from HomeSense and creating personally chosen print sets for my friends.
6. Kiss goodbye to being caught without an all important gift tag and delight in being crafty with this funky Gift Tag Stamp Kit £9.50 from Fab.com. It's simple but no home should be without one.
7. Every girl needs a new dress for the party season and if you're planning a designer number why not track down a piece from one of the many fabulous up and coming new British designers? You'll be supporting them and rocking a frock that hasn't been mass produced. Dress £495 by Yan-to.com
8. Mine's on order and even though I got over Hello Kitty four years ago I just had to have one in my extensive satchel collection. From £110 from Zatchels.com
9. If you want to ensure a bit of 'me time' once the pressies are opened, my top tip for getting the family out from under your feet so that you can enjoy your champers whilst pretending to cook the Christmas dinner is to buy them a Go Kart... a Kettler Silverstone Air Go Kart. £219 from Kettler.co.uk
10. And finally... If you are a woman with a blog, how about treating yourself to that Cybher™ ticket before they sell out? Cybher.com

Another blog or Google Site is already using this address FIX!
OMG this has been sending me crazy and it seems that I'm not the only one going round and round in circles trying to fix the dreaded 'Another blog or Google Site is already using this address' error message that you can get when you are trying to set up a custom URL on your .blogspot.com blog.
I'd literally been tearing my hair out trying to get it to work. I'd spent hours searching and reading Blogger and GoogleApps help forums and only managed to confuse myself more.
I'd followed the instructions, purchased the custom URL through Blogger's own (supposed) stress free option with GoDaddy and my site should have updated before my eyes, without driving me to tears. Should...
It's not just me though. If you Google this problem, you'll find hundreds of equally stressed out bloggers desperate for a solution being taunted by a team of forum dwelling, tech nerds preying on their inability to just make it work.
Then it came to me in a flash of brilliance that I really should have had hours ago.....
A really quick and simple fix to the 'Another blog or Google Site is already using this address' error. Here's how to sort it!
1. Log in to your GoogleApps Control Panel 'https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/YOURNEWDOMAINNAME.com' replace YOURNEWDOMAINNAME.com with the new URL that you have purchased (e.g. I would log in using this link https://www.google.com/a/cpanel/geekisnewchic.com).
2. Click Settings.
3. Click Sites.
4. Click Site Settings.
5. Click Web Address Mapping then Delete all mapping.
THIS is what's causing the problem so don't be scared!
6. Click Uninstall Sites. As long as your site isn't already live on the new URL (which, lets face it is highly unlikely if you are reading this) you won't lose anything. It simply removes your pesky yournewdomain.com from GoogleApps.
The changes you made above can take around 30 mins to refresh so go and make yourself a cuppa before logging back in to your Blogger Dashboard and linking your .blogspot address to yournewdomain.com
8. Click Advanced Settings and add your new domain url, using the www and Save.
10. Open a new window in your browser and type in your new URL. If you've done everything right your blog will now be magically residing at www.yournewdomain.com and you are awesome.
TOP TIP FOR NEXT TIME : Make sure when signing up for a new domain that you don't drop the www. This whole problem was caused by that darned, naked domain (e.g. yournewdomain.com. If you'd used www.yournewdomain.com you wouldn't have wasted the last x days searching for a solution).
TIP : You may now need to re add Sites to your GoogleApps Dashboard. To do this go to Set Up > Sites > Next. Done.
TOP TIP : Remember to back up your blogger template before attempting any such manoeuvres.
And there you have it, a simple fix to the dreaded 'Another blog or Google Site is already using this address' error and not a CNAME, A name or DNS management dashboard in sight.
Let me know how you get on.
The above fix works if you purchased yournewdomain.com through GoogleApps.
